About Rooted in The Gardens

Project Overview

Rooted in the Gardens is a community-led planning and design initiative funded by the Rockwell Fund and led by the Houston Land Bank (HLB). The project seeks to transform the former Apache site in Trinity Gardens into an affordable, resilient housing development by collaborating with residents, the Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC), and design partners.

The initiative will proceed in two major phases:

1. Phase I: Site Replat and Community Review

2. Phase II: Community-Driven Home Design Development (Signature “Rooted in the Gardens” Floor Plan)
